As a young boy, Jimmy hunted this property along with other avid hunters in the community. As the years went on, this land was converted from great hunting property to farmland. Jimmy, being a farmer, has farmed several different crops on this property himself in the last decade. As the agricultural industry changed, Jimmy diversified to real estate and in doing so, assisted the owners of the property in turning the land once again into a great hunting property. With the professional engineering of the National Resources and Conservations Services (NRCS) 700 acres of the land has now been engineered for waterfowl and 230 acres has been dedicated to upland birds.   

Seeing the property restored to its natural habitat has inspired Jimmy to re-establish the hunting capacity that he fondly remembers. Jimmy has obtained a Hunting Preserve Permit so that other avid hunters can enjoy the experiences he himself had as a boy on this property. Understanding that the changes in available farmland and hunting spaces are now scarce, Jimmy believes Maidendown Bay is not only providing a place for hunters to hunt, but also “preserving the tradition of hunting.”
